Kona in Print
We are very proud to announce that Kona's story has been chronicled in a brand new Eclipse Press Publications book entitled Second-Chance Horses! Not only is her story one of several stories about racehorses given a chance after racing, her story became the flagship story and Paula had the honor of introducing the book on www.Bloodhorse.com. And the exciting news doesn't end there! The story of Haps Irish Pub, the thoroughbred Speak Up rescued in 2008 is also included in this heartwarming book. You can order the book through the link above or by going to Amazon.
2009 Summer Training Opportunity

We Speak Up for Horses bound for slaughter and those neglected, abused, or discarded by rescuing and rehoming these horses. We also educate the public about horse slaughter, horse welfare laws, and what it means to be a responsible horse owner. Our work is driven by the belief that education seeds compassion, a life-long commitment to our horses and a respect for all life.
